Halloween Costume for Tinzley

I decided that Jonas and Tinzley would be a 50's couple for Halloween. One reason it would be pretty easy for Jonas (pair of jeans, white t-shirt, sunglasses, and slicked back hair.) I also thought it would be cute to make Tinzley a poodle skirt. I worked on it this weekend and think it came out pretty cute!

Playing around with the blog

I spent most of the morning playing around with the blog. It would have been easier if I understood all that HTML jumble of letters and symbols but I really enjoyed it though. It is amazing what you can learn all on your own by trial and error and a few helpful websites.

Also I wanted to share some pics I took yesterday of the kiddos. They were in matching Big Brother/Lil Sister shirts. (Thank you Nicolle and Tim, and Jodi and Olivia).
Jonas was not very cooperative so I will post my efforts of getting a good one.

Trying out a new font.

I am just trying out a new font. We will see if it works.

Playing Outside and Inside

We have been busy busy!
I was at the beach this past weekend with my friends from work. It was so nice to get away for the weekend with no kids! I had such a nice and relaxing time reading on the beach, and swimming in the ocean! The weather was absolutely perfect. I forgot my camera so I have no pictures.

I had the moms from church who stay home over on Monday morning for breakfast. It was such a great time to hang out and let the kids play. I hope we can make it a monthly get together. In total we had 7 moms and 12 kids. It was a lot of people but so much fun for all.

We also have been able to get outside more since the weather has cooled off a little. Tinzley is testing out her swing outside and she has fallen asleep in it two nights in a row. She must like it. Here are some pictures of the kids playing inside and out.

Nic and Vanessa's visit

My brother, Nic and his wife, Vanessa, came to visit for the last couple of days. Jonas had so much fun just playing and hanging out. It was so nice to get to see them before they leave to live in Hawaii. We wish you the best of luck. We love you and will miss you. We also cannot wait to visit! Thanks for adding us to your last trip on the mainland for awhile.

Also, Jonas has done such a good job of going on the potty. He is completely potty trained at the house. It is getting out of the house that is the next move for him. He also sleeps through his nap with underwear. He is only wearing a diaper at night. We are so excited! We hope this can continue and we can start going on the potty all the time and everywhere we go!

Tinzley is continuing to sleep well, eat well, and laugh, and coo. She is such a good baby. We enjoy listening to her talk, when she can get a word in! She loves to watch Jonas play and talk. She also loves to be sung to. We feel so blessed to have such wonderful and happy children. God has truly blessed our family also in everything we have!

Three Months

Tinzley turned three months old a week ago so I am a little late posting this.

She is sleeping through the night. She sleeps from about 9 - 8:30. She does wake up sometimes in the morning but I just put her back to sleep with her pacifier. She takes two long naps during the day and usually a cat nap in the evening. She loves her big brother. She smiles at him almost every time she sees him. She is very content to sit in her bouncy chair and watch the world around her. This is usually Jonas yelling and screaming for joy, me running around doing odd jobs around the house and trying to make some money for our family. She is so smiley and talks to you when you talk to her. She likes mos
t anybody if they smile and talk to her. She is almo
st out growing her three month clothes. She just moved up to a size 2 diaper. My best guess at weight would be around 13 pounds. She is so cute and so well behaved. I have enjoyed these first three months I cannot wait for her to bless us with her smiles more and more.

Jonas is almost 3! I cannot believe it has been three years since he was born. He is on the road to potty training. He is not there yet but so much more ready than three months ago. He is a delight to have around, most of the time. He does have his moments of fits and tantrums that put any kid to shame. He likes Tinzley but not when she is sitting in his Lightning McQueen chair.
I love the opportunity that God has given me to stay home with these two beautiful and well behaved children. I also have been given a couple of opportunities to contribute to my family as well as stay home. I have started cleaning a house one day a week and also selling Usborne Books. I am excited for these opportunities and I look forward to what God has in store.

Potty training

Yesterday Jonas woke up with a completely dry diaper. Miracle right? Well, I had the crazy idea that I just would not put another diaper on him and see what happened. Well, the stinker went in the potty all day. He only had two accidents. Of course the accidents both occurred when he was wearing underwear. If he has nothing on he goes in the potty 100 percent of the time. I am wondering if I can just take him out in public naked and then we can be considered potty trained? Just kidding but seriously how do I get him to go in the potty and wear clothes?

Busy Week

It has been a busy week. On Monday I had a ton of laundry to do from the weekend. We stayed home and cleaned house and did laundry. Tuesday I decided I could take the kids to Wal-Mart by myself to do the grocery shopping. It went okay until we got to the checkout. Tinzley cried the entire check out and the entire ride home. She then took a well deserved nap! :)

Wednesday we stayed home again cleaning because we were having people over for dinner. I decided because it was so hot Jonas and I could take a break from cleaning and get his pool out. So Jonas and I played outside while Tinzley took her morning nap. Then we ate lunch and they both took naps while I got ready, cleaned some mo
re and finished making dinner.
Our friends, Ben and Andrea and their two adorable children, came over. Jonas had fun playing with Ayla. Tinzley loved watching Paxton.
Today we went to Ms Tanya's pool with Jodi and Olivia. Jonas was hesitant at first of getting in the pool but was forced in by me, mean old mom. Tinzley took a nap while Jonas swam and I laid out and chatted with Jodi, Tanya, and Olivia.
We then came home and ate lunch and I put Jonas and Tinzley down for naps. You would think they would be exhausted but it is not turning out that way. Oh, well. I am looking forward to a nice quiet weekend. No plans.

I leave you with this picture. So sweet.

Trip to St. Louis

We went to St. Louis this weekend for our 6th anniversary. We stayed with my cousin and her family. My mom also met us there so she could watch the kids while we went into the city. We got there Friday afternoon and Jonas and Manny, his second cousin, became fast friends. Tom and I went into St. Louis that night to see a concert under the Arch. We saw Guster play. It was amazing. The concert and just the atmosphere of where we were.
Saturday we woke up the and Rachel and Ed suggested the boys go to the zoo and the girls go shopping. Jonas and Manny rode the train at the zoo. Tinzley and I walked around and looked at little shops with Rachel, Nola, and my Mom. It was a
lot of fun but tiring.
That night Tom, Jonas, and I went to a Cardin
als game. Jonas was very excited until the first home run when they shot off fireworks. He was also afraid of the lightning on the screen when they say "Charge". He finally came around around the 8th inning. The Cardinals won 3-1 so it was a great game. We then took the advice of Ed and Rachel and went to Ted Drewes (spelling?) It was this custard stand on historic Route 66 and it is the place to go after Cardinals games. Jonas loved that part. We then slept in this morning and drove all day home.
Tinzley stayed with my mom while we went to the concert and the game. She did really well sleeping and traveling in the car. She was also very good on our day out shopping.
Here are some pics from our weekend.

Also, she rolled over three times when we were there so I got pictures of that too.
123 She did it, and she was so proud!
